Discovery
The first step builds a foundation, so we look forward to getting to know you! We don’t just draw plans and leave you hanging.
We typically discuss your routines, interests, budget, design style and any other specific goals you might have for your home.
Maybe you have chemical sensitivities, asthma, or some other condition related to your current living conditions that you’d like to try and remedy with this renovation. Let’s make sure we leave no stone unturned.

Design
Dream big, this is probably the most fun part!
As we move into step two, we’ll spend time discussing options with you until we’ve nailed down a solution that fits your needs, personality and lifestyle.
We start with conceptual spaces which turn into rooms and then fill those rooms with healthy, sustainable materials, textures, colors and daylight.
Together we’ll develop a home specifically catered to you.
At the end of step two we’ll deliver a drawing package that goes over the whole project for the city officials and your contractor. If you don’t have a contractor in mind, we can help with that as well!
Construction
Some designers bow out at the end of design, leaving you and your contractor to decipher their drawings as your home is assembled.
At Retrofit, we’ve got your back.
We are your advocates during construction, to ensure that all that invested time and energy doesn’t get miscommunicated as the house comes together.
At the end, we’ll go over each system from top to bottom to make sure your home functions as good as it looks.
